Friends Music Camp

Friends Music Camp was founded in 1980 by friends Peg Champney (our current director) and Jean Putnam. Seventeen campers attended the first session. The number of campers has gradually increased over the years. Currently, 75 campers and 25 staff people attend each summer.
Enrollment is open to young people age 10 to 18 of any race or religion, who have had at least one year of lessons on their chosen instrument. The number of Friends has ranged from 50-85%. In recent years, campers have come from about 20 states and several foreign countries.
