Frequently Asked Questions

Who attends FMC?

Campers at FMC are young people who wish to pursue musical excellence while participating in a caring community. They come with a variety of musical experience: some advanced, others near-beginners.  All are committed to work hard on their music and treasured for what they have to share and their capacity to learn and grow.

Enrollment is open to young people ages 10 to 17 of all backgrounds, who have had at least one year of lessons on their chosen instrument, or who have participated in a school band, orchestra or choir program for at least one year.

What's the schedule like?

During the week, campers practice, attend lessons, sing in chorus, play in large and small ensembles and take classes. Evening activities include capture the flag, a dance, outside speakers, visits to the local pool, and other fun activities. Both students and staff perform at weekly recitals and on weekend concerts.

Where is Friends Music Camp located?
